Create New

The Create New button lets users quickly add a new record for an object in their application.

This action does NOT open a new form, it just adds a new record.

This streamlined action makes adding new records fast and intuitive-perfect for applications where users frequently enter data, such as CRMs or project management systems. By including the Create New button in a layout, users can efficiently add new entries without navigating through additional menus or screens.

Benefits :

  • Seamless data entry: Users can quickly generate new records for any object type.

Tips:

If the button is grayed out and not available for clicking in your layout, you will need to create an Item Layout for that Object: /layouts/
